History of CFR Freight The company was founded in April 1991 by H.U.Hatesohl offering services to the Forwarding and Clearing Industry only as a strictly neutral NVOCC. In its relatively short history CFR Freight has experienced tremendous growth from being a one man show at inception to today employing over 100 staff throughout the Sea & Airfreight offices in Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town & Port Elizabeth, making us one of the leading groupage operators in Southern Africa. CFR Freight ship and receive cargo to and from all parts of the world and we pride ourselves in continuously developing new direct services on both import and export routes. In 2001 an Airfreight division was added to our services, also operating as a wholesaler to the Forwarding and Clearing Industry, thus making CFR Freight the leading operator in South Africa offering both Sea & Air consolidations under the same banner.
