About
ROSBRI – uniform English Home caterer for Russia
S tanding for Russo-British trading company, Moscow, Russian Fed., based ROSBRI has been dealing in signature British home décor and items since 1999 as first-hand importer and network retailer. Routing some 88 manufacturer/suppliers in Great Britain as well as USA and continental Europe to own 12 retail outlets across Russia, ROSBRI sees that quality product go at attractive conditions and opportune terms. In which respect Company has been unchallenged.
Samvel Gurgenovich Efremian started ROSBRI as joint venture in 1989 for import/export of various goods to shape better Company’s profile ten years later. Breaking away with run-of-the-mill department store itinerary, ROSBRI at one time brought Russia the conspicuous British craft in tiling, sanitary fitting, lighting, wallpaper and cloth, furniture, crockery. The lot down to memorablia articles.
Case in point, from 2000 on, Company has been issuing brochures, training own sellers and interior designers to move English Home rather than separate articles. Ironically, the perfection idiom outsmarted average home in Britain in sheer selection, arrangement and quality of items and materials offered. With particular regard and cleanness to bathroom and, in fact, all tileable zones of the house. For that matter, Design Studio at ulitsa Alabyana, ROSBRI’s prime outlet/showroom in Moscow, has been collecting orders and implementing number of English Home designs already.
Russia responded to both esthetics and pragmatism of the Brits as perhaps better pronounced than the rest, catching on new consumer craze and carrying it way too far for even ROSBRI’s pace. Whether this expressed the nations’ presumed ethnic relationship or just an adherence with things European is anybody’s guess, but – as stated by Philip Efremian, Director General, on Company’s 15-th anniversary – a buyer in Russia has grown from just possessing the British to now wishing for, say, Edwardian style at one’s kitchen and ly Georgian at one’s study, while imagining the great looks of a Sheraton table in the dining room. Those folks do know what entourage a Chippendale chair demands.
Ceramics and porcelain, Britain’s handicraft forte, do make their strong presence in Company’s catalog but Company allows for no bias in its program believing that English Home idiom stays highly appealing so long its widely acceptable and readily understood. Hence new categories and suppliers get considered, appraised and added on. Notably, no original worthy partner was ever dropped or discontinued. Result is a comprehensive one-stop shop whenever a quality durable item or more satisfying interior and longterm value are sought. Company’s been steering huge and unruly local market ‘cause it knows its bearings well. Which should make ROSBRI a partner of value to a conscious manufacturer, a responsible designer, a wise buyer. Not necessarily of British Isles but quite often of the world at large.
