As an academy engaged in RFID technology and standardization,Shandong Institute of Standardization(abbreviated as SDIS) is China representative of ISO / IEC JTC1 SC31,senior member of EPCglobal,member of RFID standardization work group of Ministry of Information Industry and AIM China(Automatic Identification Manufacture Association of China) ,as well as executive chairman unit of Shandong RFID Industry Alliance,chairman unit of Jinan RFID Industry Alliance,supporting institution of Shandong RFID Application Engineering Technology Research Center,and major participator of Shandong RFID Industry Base. Since 2003, SDIS has made great achievements in RFID research and application. SDIS is undertaking national "863 Plan" RFID project on food safety traceability,has developed HF RFID reader with independent intellectual property and many application systems including RFID Food Safety Traceability System,Shandong Golden Quality Regional Supervision System, Mobile Security Surpervision System,Intelligent Meeting Registration System,Person Positioning System. SDIS is also responsible for the construction of RFIDinfo(www.RFIDinfo.com.cn)—the well-known RFID website in China. SDIS also has established cooperation relationship with RFID lab of CASIA ,NEC Laboratories China,ASIC &System State Key Lab of Fudan University, University of Pittsburgh,Texas Instruments, VDC and so on. With its research strengths, SDIS will take its full advantages to promote the development of RFID industry.
